ACL/Knee Injury Prevention

TMI Sports Performance utilizes the latest research and training techniques in providing an unparalleled ACL/Knee Injury Prevention Academy.  This program decreases the risk of ACL/Knee injuries and is supported by research.  This program is ideal for female volleyball, soccer, ice skating, basketball, and other jumping athletes. 

 Did You Know?

  • Female athletes have 4-7 fold risk of ACL injury compared to male athletes
  • The average cost of an ACL injury is $17,000, not including the cost of missed school/work (for therapy appointments), the emotional cost of not participating in sport with teammates, the skill loss that results from the setback and the lost training
  • ACL rehab takes approximately 6 months
  • Resistence training alone can increase ligament strength but does not decrease ACL injury risk
  • Athletes that injure their ACL are at a 25% increased risk of injuring their opposite ACL
