Sports Physical Therapy

Therapy with PatientSports Physical Therapy is a specialized practice that focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement of physically active individuals. Sports physical therapists are highly skilled in the evaluation of surgical and non-surgical neuromusculoskeletal injuries. Functional assessment of the athlete to ensure a safe return to activity is the ultimate goal for each patient.

The physical therapists at TMI are Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialists and use progressive rehabilitation techniques for the hip, knee, ankle, elbow, shoulder and spine, which results in earlier restoration of range of motion, decreased pain, quicker return of muscle function and earlier return to sport with decreased injury risk. Together with the rest of the TMI team of sports medicine professionals, our physical therapists seek to meet the needs of each athlete/patient and return him/her to sport at peak performance with minimal risk of re-injury.
